Stories of cultivation

Sure, we can tell you tall tales from our years big-brand experience.* But, as a newer agency, we're most excited about our collaborations that led to transformational outcomes. Whether it’s coming alongside large organizations to build out a specific strategy, or creating something new from the ground up, we invite you into a world of inspired results.

*Hey … if you’re curious about our big brand experience, we’ve listed it below, ‘cause we knew you’d ask.

Coca-Cola
North America

“After all these years, we never built a storytelling strategy. Can you show us how?”

Being asked by one of the largest brands in the world to give them advice is both exciting – and humbling! In order.to increase audience engagement, relevance, and consideration, Coca-Cola North America realized it was time to leverage the power of storytelling with fresh focus and intent.

Based on our extensive experience building storytelling strategies, The Cultivate Company presented insights and advice to the North American Marketing Team in a live seminar focused on building their new storytelling discipline.

The iconic nature of Coca-Cola means there’s big opportunity to unlock their countless brand stories woven into the American lexicon, and deepen audience loyalty and engagement.

The Cultivate Company provided fantastic inspiration, insights and ideas that helped inspire the North American Marketing Team to begin building our storytelling discipline.

The New
Evangelicals

“We had just started our first non-profit, and our online community was quickly growing exponentially. Guidance was needed – and fast!”

Just over two years ago, Tim Whitaker became an accidental influencer, quickly building an online community who flocked to hear his fresh – and challenging – insights on current religious and political dynamics.

Part activist, part empath, and part theology nerd, he found a community that was highly motivated to learn grow, and advocate – in spite of previous religious trauma.

As The New Evangelicals formally transitioned to a non-profit, we partnered with them to build their overall brand strategy from the ground up, defining their mission, identifying areas of impact, and creating a roadmap for growth. We also built the foundation for their fundraising strategy, helping them exceed funding goals.

The Cultivate Company also wrote and designed their website, their brand book, a line of merchandise, and continues to collaborate on writing and designing weekly social media posts. There’s even more big plans for The New Evangelicals, so we’re cultivating a path forward that will have even greater reach and impact.

We tend to have a ton of ideas and energy in how we approach our organization’s mission. The Cultivate Company has helped us think through the entire brand and organizational experience we are building, helping us become more intentional to enable a lasting impact.

Mr. Momo

“We didn’t know where to start, but we knew we had to strengthen our brand in order to meet our goals.”

It started almost like a romance: A chance meeting at a bar turned into love at first bite. We quickly realized that Mr. Momo’s unique foods deserved an extraordinary brand and business strategy.

Founder and chef Subash Yadav’s unforgettably delicious Nepali dumplings had already gained a loyal local following of momo fans. His mission is big: to bring a truly healthy – and happy – alternative to American fast food.

We immediately focused on cultivating Mr. Momo – and Subash with a fresh brand strategy that combines the tangible benefits of health, convenience and flavor with the intangible benefits found in the wonderfully visceral reaction customers have to his food: pure joy. We captured this in a new tagline: “We make the happiest food on earth!”

Together, we created a world of momo magic that includes a new visual + messaging strategy, website, refreshed product line, merch, social media strategy, wholesale strategy, customer experience – and even pricing + supply chain planning! Phew! (And more is coming … stay tuned!)

I cannot express enough appreciation for the exceptional support, expertise, and friendship that has cultivated our brand – and us! It played a pivotal role in shaping Mr. Momo’s future, and we’re genuinely excited to see our dreams come to life!

The Cultivate Company

“The hardest client is always ourselves.”

It’s infinitely easier to breathe life into other brands rather than our own, but that didn’t stop us. We had the vision, spunk, and extra-cups-of-coffee excitement to experiment with some new ideas for our Turo and Outdoorsy side businesses.

As car and RV rentals that exist in the gig economy, we knew we had to find the right cars, and build an exceptional customer experience that would stand out from the rest.

After significant market research, we chose two mint-condition convertible VW Beetles for Turo and one tricked out Overlander Jeep Wrangler for Outdoorsy. Each got a complete brand package, including a name, unique personality, collateral, assets and countless thoughtful touches. We just broke our 100-rental milestone, and have delighted 5-star reviews.

Someone in marketing definitely created all these creative, helpful, and thoughtful touches for the car. We had no idea a car rental could be so thoughtful and fun!

Cultivate goodness with us!
